Type specimen: IGM 6617, a mandible. Its type locality is Jim's Joy, Huizachal Canyon, which is in a Pliensbachian floodplain horizon in the La Boca Formation of Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Jim's Joy, Huizachal Canyon
