Sister taxa: Mesohimavatites caponicus, Mesohimavatites columbianus, Mesohimavatites costatus, Mesohimavatites indigiricus
Type specimen: GSC 28871. Its type locality is GSC 83834, Crying Girl Prairie Creek, which is in an Alaunian marine horizon in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:
• Triassic of Canada (3: British Columbia collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
