Type specimens:

  • Pannoniasaurus inexpectatus: MTM 2011.43.1., a partial skull (right quadrate). Its type locality is Iharkút mine, Bakony mountains (Unit 1), which is in a Santonian crevasse splay claystone/sandstone in the Csehbánya Formation of Hungary.
