Type specimen: PIMUZ T4763, a skeleton (articulated skeleton). Its type locality is Val Porina (incl. tetto nuovo), which is in an Anisian/Ladinian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
