Type specimen: CNU-DIB-NN2007016, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2007 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Daohugou (CNU 2007 collection)
