Type specimen: Institut Géologique Montpellier MA103, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Aix-en-Provence (Inst. Geol. Montpellier coll), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large limestone in the Niveau du gypse d'Aix Formation of France.
