- Osmylites excelsa: Its type locality is Solnhofen (BSPGM Munich coll), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany
- Osmylites protogaea: JME AS V I 1029 1095-1 Nr 3, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME and Kümpel collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
