Type specimen: USNM 64347, a tegmen. Its type locality is Humphreys clay pit, Port Barnett, which is in a Westphalian D terrestrial siliciclastic in the Pottsville Formation of Pennsylvania.
Distribution: found only at Humphreys clay pit, Port Barnett
