Type specimen: DMNH-1967, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant (Colorado Mus. Nat. History Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Florissant (Colorado Mus. Nat. History Collection)
