Sister taxon: Omositoidea gigantea
Type specimen: Poinar C-7-392, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Poinar collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

Distribution: found only at Baltic Amber, Poinar collection
