Sister taxa: Geringophis depressus, Geringophis vetus, Geringophis yatkolae, Geringophis yatkolai
Type specimen: UF 190837, a set of vertebrae (precloacal vertebra). Its type locality is I-75, which is in a Whitneyan sinkhole claystone in Florida.
Ecology: fossorial carnivore
Distribution: found only at I-75
