Type specimen: PVL 4825, a maxilla (Anterior fragment of the skull with incisors and both molars toothrows ). Its type locality is La Angostura, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial sandstone in the Tafí del Valle Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-herbivore

Distribution:

• Quaternary of Argentina (3 collections), Mexico (1)
