As for the genus: Small echymid rodent with three-crested, sigma-shaped lower molars. Mesodont. Molars long for their width. Mesoflexid, metaflexid from long, wide valleys, extending 2/3 transverse width tooth. Hypoflexid short. Flat bottoms reentrant. Antero-and posterolophids isolated when unworn, with wear connect by narrow bridges to ectolophulid and protolophid respectively. Hypolophulid reduced, posterolophid short. Mesoflexid merged with portoflexid. Hypoflexid transversely oriented. dp4 protoflexid shallow.
