Sister taxa: Alanites costatus, Alanites laevis, Alanites obesus, Alanites visendus

Type specimen: USNM 248903. Its type locality is USGS M2359, spur between Star and Bloody Canyons, which is in a Bithynian marine limestone/siltstone in the Prida Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
