Type specimen: Holotype: Preparado 955, coord. 1.9/20.3., a microspore. Its type locality is Pozo T-137, nivel 170 m., which is in a Maastrichtian/Paleocene terrestrial claystone in the Cerro Dorotea Formation of Argentina.
