Type specimen: BP/1/5079, a skull (Almost complete skull without lower jaw). Its type locality is Farm Fairydale, Bethulie, which is in an Induan/Olenekian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Katberg Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Farm Fairydale, Bethulie
