Type specimen: USNM 20667 (skull and mandibles, posterior and anterior ends damaged). Its type locality is Marfil, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Guanjuato Red Conglomerate Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution: found only at Marfil
