Type specimen: Coll Xavier Merit, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Montagne d'Andance, Saint-Bauzile, Privas (Merit collection), which is in a Turolian crater lake diatomite/volcaniclastic in France.

Distribution: found only at Montagne d'Andance, Saint-Bauzile, Privas (Merit collection)
