Type specimen: UCM-4510, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant (Rusk, Duce 1909 coll), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Florissant (Rusk, Duce 1909 coll)
