Holotype: IGM 184349 skull fragment including left maxilla with P4 - M3, anterior root of zygomatic arch, anterior margin orbit, and portion of the palate, blus associated radius fragment.

Etymology: mascar, spanish, to chew; jejenes, spanish, insects (more specifically, biting gnats)
