Type specimen: M 13158 B.M.G.D, a mandible (part of the left mandibular ramus with the three molars broken off at the level of the alveolar border). Its type locality is South of El Mene Oilfield, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in Venezuela.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at South of El Mene Oilfield
