Type specimen: MACN Pv SC 221, a mandible (right mandibular fragment with m1 or m2). Its type locality is Portezuelo Sumich Norte, Pinturas Fm., Lago Buenos Aires, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Pinturas Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Argentina (3 collections)
