Sister taxon: Philanthus annulatus
Type specimen: UCM-8596, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 9, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Florissant, Station 9
