Type specimen: TMP 89.127.3, a partial skeleton (part and counterpart slabs that preserve a partial skeleton of a juvenile ichthyopterygian that includes a near-complete skull and the anterior half of the post). Its type locality is Wapiti Lake, Locality D, which is in a Smithian marine siltstone/limestone in the Sulphur Mountain Formation of Canada.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Wapiti Lake, Locality D
