Type specimen: BMNH M. 19100a-c, a partial skeleton (air of complete mandibles with posterior fragment of skull and 7 cervical vertebrae). Its type locality is Rusinga Island, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Kenya.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
