Type specimen: RTMP 96.9.627, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Grassy Lake, Medicine Hat (TMP 96.9 accession), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in the Foremost Formation of Canada.

Distribution: found only at Grassy Lake, Medicine Hat (TMP 96.9 accession)
