Type specimen: NHMW 1905/0007/0052, a partial skull (fragment of rostrum). Its type locality is Lunz, Lunzer Bergstollen, which is in a Tuvalian marginal marine shale in the Lunz Formation of Austria.

Distribution: found only at Lunz, Lunzer Bergstollen
