Ephedripites caichiguensis Narváez and Sabino 2008

Ginkgoopsida - Ephedrales

Basionym: Equisetosporites caichigensis Volkheimer and Quattrocchio 1975a. Ameghiniana 12, pp. 236, plate 10, figs. 15-16; plate 11, figs. 1-4; holotype 893j BA Pb 42.8/100.5, plate 10, figs. 15-16.

Remarks: Volkheimer and Quattrocchio (1975a) originally described the species as Equisetosporites caichigensis. We make the new combination and use Ephedripites instead, as it is more indicative of the botanical affinity of the genus.
