Sister taxon: Dolichorhinotermes apopnus
Type specimen: MCFC 248, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (MCCB/MCAM collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dominican amber (MCCB/MCAM collection)
