Type specimens:

  • Itaphlebia multa: PIN 1255/1555, a wing (fore and hindwing). Its type locality is Kubekovo village (PIN collection 1255), which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian lacustrine - large claystone in the Itat Formation of the Russian Federation.
  • Protochoristella polyneura: CNU-M-NN2006049, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2006 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
