Sister taxa: Cimbrochrysa americana, Cimbrochrysa major
Type specimen: FM 448/74, a wing (overlapping fore and hindwing). Its type locality is Gullerup (Fur Museum collection), which is in a Ypresian marine diatomite/volcaniclastic in the Fur Formation of Denmark.

Distribution: found only at Gullerup (Fur Museum collection)
