Sister taxa: Protaboilus amblus, Protaboilus lini, Protaboilus rudis
Type specimen: PIN 1059/19, a tegmen. Its type locality is Kyzyl-Kiya (PIN collection 1059), which is in a Pliensbachian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in Kyrgyzstan.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Kyzyl-Kiya (PIN collection 1059)
