Sister taxon: Cretogeotrupes nodusus
Type specimen: PIN 1989/2970, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1989), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Baissa (PIN collection 1989)
