Type specimen: TNU Skull A, a partial skull (partial skull with periotic bones and partly preserved tympanic bullae, lacking rostrum). Its type locality is Kostyrino, west of, which is in a Sarmatian marginal marine siltstone in the Chersonian Formation of Ukraine.
