Type specimen: MPEF−PV 740/1, a mandible (right mandibular fragment with m1–m2). Its type locality is Rincon Chico (Puerto Madryn Formation) Peninsula Valdes, which is in a Tortonian coastal sandstone/shale in the Puerto Madryn Formation of Argentina.
