Type specimen: KUVP 9616b, a partial skeleton (a partial skull and postcranial skeleton of a juvenile individual, including the posterior one-third of the skull and right mandible, nearly complete vertebral ). Its type locality is Hamilton Quarry, which is in a Virgilian estuary/bay shale in the Calhoun Shale Formation of Kansas.

Distribution: found only at Hamilton Quarry
