Type specimen: LACM 107031, a limb element (partial right humerus missing the proximal end). Its type locality is Lawrence Canyon 5, which is in a Tortonian estuary/bay sandstone in the San Mateo Formation of California.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Lawrence Canyon 5
