Type specimen: UA 9940, a partial skull (Partial braincase including a partial supraoccipital, basioccipital, basisphenoid, right and left exoccipital-opisthotics, prootics, laterosphenoids, and orbito). Its type locality is MAD96-07 (SUNY), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Maevarano Formation of Madagascar.
