Sister taxa: Lycophron freemani, Lycophron howchini
Type specimen: CPC 22698, a pygidium. Its type locality is Locality 126/5, which is in an Arenig shallow subtidal sandstone/siltstone in the Nora Formation of Australia.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
