Sister taxa: Sunrisites chilcotinensis, Sunrisites chilensis, Sunrisites hadroptychus, Sunrisites senililevis

Type specimen: GSC 127383, a shell. Its type locality is Section B 01, Castle Pass, which is in an Angulata marine sandstone in the Last Creek Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 36.9

Distribution:

• Jurassic of Canada (22: British Columbia collections)

Total: 22 collections each including a single occurrence
