Type specimen: CPBA 19247, a shell. Its type locality is Agrio del Medio, Agrio Formation, O. (O.) laticosta subzone, Neuquén Basin, which is in a Hauterivian transition zone/lower shoreface shale/siltstone in the Agrio Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
