Type specimen: UPP MM-1, a partial skull. Its type locality is Mae Moh Coal Mine, which is in a MN 6 mire/swamp lignite/mudstone in the Na Khaem Formation of Thailand.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
Distribution: found only at Mae Moh Coal Mine
