Type specimen: NWMNH 25510, a valve. Its type locality is Reno Draw, section d, lower Ferguson Hill Mb, which is in a Hettangian marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Jurassic of United States (10: Nevada, Oregon collections)

• Triassic of Canada (1: British Columbia), United States (1: Nevada)

Total: 12 collections each including a single occurrence
