Type specimen: BMNH In.64644, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Jarzembowski coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.
