Type specimen: BMNH PI II2760, a wing (joined fore and hind wings). Its type locality is North end of Thorness Bay, Bembridge Marls (BMNH collection), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Bembridge Marls Formation of the United Kingdom.
