Sister taxa: Acompsoceras inconstans, Acompsoceras renevieri, Acompsoceras sarthense, Acompsoceras tenue

Type specimen: BMNH C.85250, a shell. Its type locality is Calabar-Akamkpa road, 1.5 km N of junction [Odukpani Fm], which is in a Cenomanian offshore shale in the Odukpani Formation of Nigeria.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Calabar-Akamkpa road, 1.5 km N of junction [Odukpani Fm]
