Type specimen: McM J 1517/42, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 25 (McM-J1517), La Leona, Sierra Catorce, which is in a Tithonian carbonate limestone in the La Caja Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Jurassic of Argentina (1 collection), Cuba (1), Mexico (6)
