Sister taxa: Meifodia ovalis, Meifodia prima, Meifodia subundata
Type specimen: 71/12889. Its type locality is VSEGEI Loc. 817 Akkerme Peninsula, Lake Balkhash, which is in a Rhuddanian carbonate limestone/mudstone in the Mynaral Formation of Kazakhstan.

Distribution:
• Silurian of Kazakhstan (7 collections)
