Type specimen: BMNH C.29045. Its type locality is Bed 104, clays above Hummocky Limestone, Charmouth, which is in a Jamesoni offshore marl in the Belemnite Marls Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Bed 104, clays above Hummocky Limestone, Charmouth
