Sister taxon: Eogryllus elongatus
Type specimen: USNM Kohls 77904, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Anvil Points, Kohls locality 40193, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Green River Formation of Colorado.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of United States (9: Colorado collections)
Total: 9 collections each including a single occurrence
